Once upon a time

I fear that it appears to be,
a quarter of a century,
since many of us tried and failed,
while still bright-eyed and bushy-tailed,
to finish one ambitious plan,
but best laid schemes of mice and men,
don't always work out as they ought ta',
so let's grab beer or wine or water,
and all meet at that hallowed spot,
we once used to frequent a lot,
and hug and chat and reminisce,
'bout what once was and what still is.

Some people say, "No it's much more",
it started all in sixty four,
If you were there than it appears,
t'is more like one and fifty years,
it doesn't really matter though,
just raise your glass, say "Cheerio".

Hello everyone,

It's been 25 years round about now that I started working in the Forum, and I feel, I can't let this year slip past without planning a modest get together.
The venue will, in all likelihood be Blake's Bar at the "Star and Garter" again.
I'm currently trying to ascertain what time would suit people best.
So 2 major questions…:

End of June or end of September?

(I know people have to work around School holiday schedules)

Weekday, Weekend day or Friday night?

(For people who travel, a weekend might be better, whilst people working in London might prefer a weekday evening.)

Drop me a line if you worked on the film and let me know what you prefer, I'll let you know in a few weeks what's most popular and I'll take it from there…

Looking forward to seeing you all…

The next feature . . .

Reader Liam Scanlan wrote to point out Bristol based photographer Adam Cook listing 'Lysistrata' on his credit page. It has been rumored for years that this is what Williams' ongoing feature project is and this would seem to confirm it.

See also this blog that mentions Dick as considering the Greek play as a vehicle for his animation skills as far back as the early 80s.
